This is a dataset of 4,000 cars in Japan photographed from three angles (right oblique, left oblique, and front).
Subject Attributes
Region: License plates from the Greater Tokyo Area (Tokyo, Chiba, Saitama, Kanagawa, Ibaraki, Tochigi, Gunma, Yamanashi) and Kansai Region (Osaka, Kyoto, Hyogo, Nara, Shiga, Wakayama) except for these areas.
Vehicle Type: Compact Car/Standard Car/Light Car/Other

Notes
[Shooting Environment]
90% of the photos were taken in various parking lots, including private homes, but also in other locations.
40% were taken during the day, 30% during the evening (dark), and 30% at night.
[Shooting Distance/Angle]
80% were taken from a front angle: A (5-6m away, approximately 2.5m high).
20% were taken from a rear angle: B (same height as the license plate, within 2m of the car).
3 angles were taken per car (diagonal right, diagonal left, and front). *Depending on the shooting conditions and subject, fewer than 3 angles were used.
